Shakopee Volleyball Association Tournament Information
2021 Dates: Daylight Dig, Sat-Sun March 13-14 | Spring Dig, Sat-Sun April 24-25

Arrival Time: Ensure you are at your assigned location 30 minutes prior to your first match.
All pool and playoff matches will be best 2 of 3 rally score sets. The first two sets will be 25 points, no cap, win by two points. The third set, if required, will be a set to 15, no cap, win by two points. Teams will switch courts in the third set when one team has scored 8 points.
Pool play matches begin at 9:00AM on both Saturday & Sunday, with subsequent matches following in order.
Teams play back-to-back matches, with a cleaning of the chairs, ref stand, and score tables between matches
After 2 matches, there is a 30-60 min break where all teams, officials, coaches & spectators leave the building for a thorough clean
Only R1s will be used. No R2s or LJs.
A visual flip score will be kept by one team and a simple score sheet will be kept by the other team.
The event provides a room for officials to use during the breaks and provides water & snacks. Be sure to thank them for their hospitality.
Warm-up: The 2-4-4 format will be used for ALL matches. The first two minutes will be for ball handling, followed by 4 minutes on the court for the serving team and then 4 minutes for the receiving team.
Payment: $27 per match. If you do not work as scheduled (more or less matches!) please email/call Robyn immediately after the event so we can ensure payments are made correctly to all officials.
Rule Set & Modifications
USAV rules apply
All players, coaches & officials must wear masks at all times, including during match play
Temperature checks will be performed on all people entering the building
Teams & coaches are allowed into the building 30 mins prior to match time
There is an officials room where the SVA will provide sandwiches, beverages and other snacks
Limited spectators are allowed. 1 per player. Spectators are allowed in the building 10 mins before match time
If playing in the field house, spectators are only allowed on the upper balcony (walking track)
If playing in the main gym, spectators are only allowed on bleachers
If playing in the aux gym, spectators are only allowed on the opposite side of court from the teams.
Folding chairs are set up 6 ft apart from each other and only 20 spectators per court are allowed.

Officials that apply to work this event can check the status of assignment by referring to your individual schedule link that takes you to your personalized Google Sheet. If you need the link to your personalized sheet again, please contact Debbie.
Daily court assignments are sent via email. Please confirm with a reply indicating you are "Good to Go" after reviewing your schedule.
