It's a good idea to take a picture of the scorecard on your phone as a backup.
MVOA does NOT need a copy of the match scores.

Match Format:
Teams use rock/paper/scissors to start the match. The winner gets the choice of serve, side or receive, the other team gets the remaining choice.
3 sets per match. ALL sets are played to 25 points, win by 2 with 27 point cap.
Teams will switch sides after each set.
The team that serves first in Set 1 will also serve first in Set 3. The receiving team in Set 1 will serve first in Set 2.
Time Limit: 55 minutes to complete each match, teams may call one 30-second timeout per set. Please either use a visible clock or your timer on your phone to start the 55 minute timer at match time. Keep everyone aware if teams are close to hitting the time limit by giving them a 10 & 5 minute heads up. The League Rules linked below has the procedure listed for matches that hit the time limit.
PLAYOFF Match Format: Best 2 sets of 3 (Sets played to 25). The first team to win two sets wins the match. If a set is tied after the time limit expires, one rally serve will be played to break the tie. NO COIN TOSS: During playoffs, the higher seed will have choice of side, serve or receive to start the match. The lower seed will choose from the option that the higher seed did not choose.
Roster: Teams must start with at least 4 players. For the FIRST match of the night, teams have a 10 minute grace to secure enough players before they forfeit set 1. After 15 minutes without 4 players, the team forfeits the match. For later matches, if a team doesn't have 4 players by match time, they forfeit set 1, after 5 minutes, they forfeit set 2, after 10 minutes, they forfeit set 3.
