COVID-19 GUIDELINES
Officials accepting assignments should be flexible and understanding of changes due to unforeseen circumstances caused by the pandemic.
An official that has COVID-19 symptoms and/or tests positive should contact MVOA as soon as possible to remove themselves from the schedule.
In order to minimize contact between teams, matches will take place at 6:00-6:50pm, 7:05-7:55pm & 8:10-9:00pm
Adhere to current CDC & MDH guidelines regarding face coverings. Officials must wear a properly fitted mask that covers their mouth and nose at all times and use a hand-held whistle. If a malfunction occurs with a hand-held whistle or one is not available, a regular whistle may be used as long as it is completely covered underneath a mask to reduce the potential of droplets.
Masks/face coverings are required before, during and after matches while you are in the ECC by all participants
An official that has COVID-19 symptoms, such as a fever exceeding 100.4 and/or tests positive should contact MVOA as soon as possible to remove themselves from the schedule.
Maintain social distancing (minimum of 6’) whenever possible. No handshake or high fives allowed before or after the match.
Eagan will provide 2 volleyballs and sanitation spray for each court. Sanitation spray will be available for each team and official to spray down equipment.
It is recommended that teams bring their own hand sanitizer, but hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the facility. All participants should wash/sanitize hands immediately upon entering the building and just prior to exiting.
If the ball comes into contact with anyone’s face, the ball should be taken out of play and sanitized. While the sanitation spray is drying, a replacement ball should be used to resume play.
Teams should show up no earlier than 15 minutes prior to start of their match. Teams may social distance out in the lobby by the stairs/gym windows. Once the previous match is done and teams have exited the gym new teams may enter the gym. Teams should leave the complex immediately after their match.
Attendance is limited to players only (no family, children)
Arrive with only what you need, leave bags, purses, other items at home
