COVID-19 GUIDELINES
Officials accepting assignments should be flexible and understanding of changes due to unforeseen circumstances caused by the pandemic.
An official that has COVID-19 symptoms and/or tests positive should contact MVOA as soon as possible to remove themselves from the schedule.
Adhere to current CDC & MDH guidelines regarding face coverings. Officials must wear a properly fitted mask that covers their mouth and nose at all times and use a hand-held whistle. If a malfunction occurs with a hand-held whistle or one is not available, a regular whistle may be used as long as it is completely covered underneath a mask to reduce the potential of droplets.
Groups must not gather more than 25 people (players, coaches, & officials) for an activity.
Participants will be asked to closely monitor themselves and family members for symptoms or known exposure to a person diagnosed with Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19). It is recommended that participants notify the league and team immediately of any SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 diagnosis, major symptoms, or direct exposure.
Anyone displaying symptoms of the SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 will be asked to leave the gym.
If possible, all participants will enter through one entrance and exit through another, observing guidelines for social/physical distancing. In the event there is only one entrance to the park, teams will need to be cautious and courteous at the point of entry, observing all social/physical distancing recommendations.
It is recommended that participants wash their hands prior to going to the gym, throughout the practice/game as-needed, and after practice/game. It is recommended that everyone bring personal hand sanitizer to all games, but SLP will have some on hand to use.
Anyone at the facility is required to wear a mask when they are in the facility whether participating, officiating, or watching.
Participants will be responsible for sanitation of equipment and benches.
Parents, caregivers, and/or spectators should not attend. If someone must attend, they must practice social distancing.
Keep any interactions between the players and coaches contact-less.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: Call the "Weather line" (952-924-2567) no earlier than two hours prior to the scheduled game time to find out if games have been canceled. A prerecorded message will be updated every hour beginning at 4:00 p.m.
